Role Overview
The Driver supports daily ophthalmic lens laboratory operations by performing timely collection and delivery of prescription lenses, frames, and related materials to optical shops across Singapore using a motorcycle.
The role ensures safe handling of fragile optical products and efficient last-mile delivery to maintain customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect prescription orders, frames, and job documents from optical shops according to assigned routes.
- Deliver completed prescription lenses and related items accurately and on time.
- Verify order details during pickup and delivery obtain acknowledgment upon handover.
- Handle fragile ophthalmic lenses and frames carefully to prevent damage or contamination.
- Plan efficient motorcycle routes to optimize delivery time and fuel usage.
- Maintain delivery records and update internal team on delivery status.
- Ensure motorcycle is properly maintained, roadworthy, and compliant with traffic regulations.
- Adhere to road safety standards and company SOPs at all times.
- Assist with packing, sorting, and basic logistics coordination when required.
Requirements
- Valid Singapore Class 2B / 2A / 2 motorcycle licence.
- Familiar with Singapore road routes.
- Responsible, punctual, and detail-oriented.
- Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors.
