Key Responsibilities
- Transport personnel such as welders, engineers, and fitters safely from dormitory to shipyard, ensuring timely arrival at workstations.
- Adhere strictly to shipyard speed limits of 15-20 km/h and yield to heavy equipment including forklifts and mobile cranes to maintain safety.
- Coordinate schedules with shift supervisors to ensure workers attend toolbox talks and shift changeovers on time.
- Perform daily vehicle maintenance checks on brakes, steering, and tires to prevent wear and tear caused by the salty, abrasive shipyard environment.
- Collect materials from suppliers to support shipyard operations.
- Deliver furniture and materials within the shipyard efficiently and safely.
Required competencies and certifications
- Shipyard Safety Orientation (SSIC)
- Valid Class 3 / 3A and Class 4 driving licenses
