Driver cum Storekeeper

Job Summary:
The Driver cum Storekeeper is responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently or staffs to designated locations in a timely manner while also managing store inventory, ensuring proper storage, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities:

Driving Duties:

• Safely transport goods, materials, or staff to designated locations in a timely manner

• Plan routes and follow delivery schedules

• Load and unload goods properly to prevent damage

• Ensure vehicle is clean, well-maintained, and serviced regularly

• Adhere to traffic laws and company safety regulations

• Maintain delivery logs and obtain necessary signatures upon delivery

Storekeeping Duties:

• Receive, inspect, and record incoming stock

• Organize and store items systematically in the store

• Monitor inventory levels and report shortages or discrepancies

• Prepare and pack goods for dispatch

• Maintain accurate inventory records (manual or system-based)

• Conduct periodic stock counts and audits

• Ensure cleanliness and safety of the storage area

Requirements:

• Valid Class 3 driving license

• Proven experience as a driver and/or storekeeper

• Basic knowledge of inventory management systems

• Able to handle loading and unloading tasks

• Good organizational and time management skills

• Ability to read and write basic reports

• Familiarity with safety procedures and regulations
