Job Title: Lorry Driver (Carpentry Factory)

Location: 10 Admiralty St northlink building

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Lorry Driver to transport finished carpentry products (e.g., furniture, wooden structures, raw materials) safely and efficiently to designated locations. The driver will ensure timely deliveries, maintain vehicle condition, and adhere to traffic and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Transportation & Delivery:

Safely drive and operate company lorries to transport carpentry products to clients, suppliers, or warehouses.

Load and unload goods securely, ensuring no damage to products.

Verify delivery orders and obtain customer signatures upon completion.

Vehicle Maintenance:

Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections (e.g., fuel, oil, brakes, tires).

Report mechanical issues promptly and ensure routine servicing.

Keep the lorry clean and organized.

Compliance & Safety:

Follow all traffic laws, company policies, and safety protocols.

Maintain accurate logbooks (if required) and delivery records.

Adhere to weight limits and secure cargo properly.

Support Duties:

Assist in the factory with basic carpentry tasks (e.g., moving materials) when not driving.

Communicate delays or issues to supervisors.

Requirements:

Valid lorry driving license (e.g., GDL, PSV, or relevant class).

Minimum 2 years of driving experience, preferably in cargo/logistics.

Familiarity with carpentry materials handling (advantageous).

Physically fit (able to lift/move heavy items).

Punctual, responsible, and with a clean driving record.

Basic mechanical knowledge (e.g., troubleshooting minor issues).

Working Conditions:

Local

9am to 6pm (may include weekends/overtime during peak periods).
