The Drafter - Underground Utility Mapping is responsible for producing accurate technical drawings, plans, and maps of underground utilities, including water, sewer, electrical, gas, and telecommunication networks. You will collaborate closely with surveyors and GIS teams to convert field data into clear, standardized drawings for project documentation, client submissions, and reporting.
a) CAD Drawing & Mapping
Prepare, revise, and finalize CAD drawings and utility maps based on survey data, as-built information, and design requirements.
b) Data Conversion
Convert raw field data from total stations, GNSS, GPR, or other survey equipment into accurate underground utility layouts.
c) Compliance & Standards
Ensure all drawings comply with project standards, client requirements, and regulatory specifications, including authority submission formats.
d) File Management
Maintain organized drawing files, layers, and reference data for easy retrieval and quality assurance.
e) Technical Support
Assist surveyors and engineers in visualizing underground networks for planning, design, and construction activities.
f) Quality Control
Perform drawing quality checks to identify and correct errors or inconsistencies.
Update drawings for revisions, relocations, or new information from site verification.
g) Additional Responsibilities
Generate utility maps, cross-sections, and detailed plans for submissions.
Coordinate with surveyors, GIS teams, and project managers to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
