Drafter

We are looking for a detail-oriented Drafter with specialized experience in aluminum window and door systems to join our team. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between architectural concepts and technical manufacturing drawings.

The Role

You will be responsible for creating precise shop drawings, sections, and 3D models for various aluminum fenestration projects. You must understand how aluminum profiles fit together and how they interact with building structures.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed 2D shop drawings and installation details using AutoCAD.

• Create 3D models and renderings in SketchUp to help clients visualize complex assemblies.

• Prepare accurate BOMs (Bill of Materials) and cutting lists for production.

• Coordinate with site surveyors and project managers to ensure drawings reflect real-world conditions.

• Ensure all designs meet structural requirements and weather-performance standards.

Requirements

• Software Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in AutoCAD (2D) and SketchUp (3D).

• Industry Expertise: At least 2 years of experience specifically in aluminum windows, doors, curtain walls, or storefronts.

• Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of aluminum profiles, hardware, glazing gaskets, and thermal break systems.

• Precision: Ability to produce production-ready drawings with zero margin for error.

• Portfolio: A portfolio or samples of previous aluminum-related shop drawings is highly preferred.

Bonus Points

• Experience with specific systems (e.g., Schüco, Reynaers, Kawneer).

• Knowledge of CNC fabrication processes.
