Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Drafter to support the design, layout, and documentation of commercial kitchen equipment projects. The role involves preparing technical drawings, coordinating with internal teams and clients, and ensuring all designs meet operational, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate design concepts, site measurements, and specifications into accurate technical drawings
- Revise drawings based on feedback from engineers, project managers, and clients
- Coordinate with sales, project, and service teams to ensure designs are practical and aligned with project requirements
- Ensure compliance with local codes, safety regulations, and industry standards
- Maintain organized documentation of drawings, revisions, and project files
- Assist in site measurements and inspections when required
- Support project execution by providing accurate as-built drawings and updates
Requirements:
- Diploma or degree in Engineering, Architecture, Drafting, or a related field
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD knowledge of Revit or similar tools is a plus)
- 1-3 years of drafting experience (experience in kitchen, MEP, or construction projects is an advantage)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to interpret technical specifications and layouts
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with commercial kitchen equipment and workflows
- Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems
- Experience working with consultants, contractors, or kitchen designers
Working Conditions:
- Office-based with occasional site visits
- May require coordination outside standard hours during project deadlines
