Job Description
- Perform KYC document reviews and remediation activities for individual, corporate, trust and other entity types to ensure completeness and compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
- Review client documentation including identification documents, constitutional documents, ownership structures, authorized signatories and supporting KYC information
- Assess the adequacy and validity of KYC records, identify documentation gaps eg (CRS & W8BEN) and follow up with internal stakeholders for remediation
- Manage and respond to enquiries received through shared team mailboxes, ensuring client and stakeholder queries are addressed accurately and within established service levels.
- Perform risk-based assessment of customer information and ensure appropriate supporting documentation is obtained and maintained
- Work with internal stakeholders including Business, Compliance, Operations and other support functions to resolve documentation deficiencies and KYC-related queries
- Ensure customer records are accurately maintained in internal systems and that all reviews are properly documented with a clear audit trail
- Support periodic reviews, trigger event reviews and regulatory remediation exercises in accordance with established timelines
- Ensure assigned tasks are completed within stipulated timelines with a high degree of accuracy and quality
Our Ideal Candidate
- Knowledge and experience in KYC, AML, Customer Due Diligence (CDD), Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) or client onboarding reviews would be an advantage
- Familiarity with reviewing KYC documentation for individuals and corporations
- Understanding of AML/CFT regulations, screening sanctions, beneficial ownership requirements and client risk assessment principles
- Strong analytical and investigative skills with the ability to identify discrepancies and resolve documentation issues
- Good organisation skills and attention to detail
- Able to work under tight timelines and achieve given targets
- Logical, structured approach to problem solving and decision making
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage multiple parties to drive remediation efforts
- Strong sense of ownership with ability to operate under minimal supervision
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
- Fresh graduates or Diploma Holders are welcome to apply. Relevant experience in KYC, AML, client onboarding, document review or operations will be advantageous
