Responsibilities
- Deliver inpatient care for patients within the facility. Lead a multidisciplinary team to formulate and manage patient care plans. Mentor and nurture the growth of junior medical professionals. Educate undergraduate and postgraduate physicians in family and geriatric medicine. Engage in relevant research initiatives and quality improvement projects. Participate in hospital-wide Special Interest Groups aimed at enhancing clinical care quality.
Requirements
- Basic Medical Degree with postgraduate qualifications that are registrable with the relevant medical council. Postgraduate training in family medicine, geriatric medicine, general internal medicine, or rehabilitation medicine is mandatory for the following positions: Associate Consultant/Consultant: Fellowship in Family Medicine or Advanced Specialist Training in geriatric medicine, rehabilitative medicine, or advanced internal medicine, or an equivalent qualification. Registrar: MMed in Family Medicine, MRCP in Internal Medicine, or an equivalent qualification. A strong commitment to caring for older adults and individuals with complex medical conditions, including cardiovascular, endocrine, and neurodegenerative diseases such as cerebrovascular accidents and Parkinson's disease.
