Job Summary
The Doctor of Osteopathy is responsible for providing holistic, patient-centered care using osteopathic principles and manual therapy techniques. This role focuses on diagnosing, treating, and preventing musculoskeletal conditions through hands-on therapy, structural assessments, and personalized treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments including medical history, physical examination, posture analysis, and range-of-motion evaluations.
- Diagnose musculoskeletal disorders, functional imbalances, and related health conditions.
- Provide osteopathic treatments such as soft tissue manipulation, joint mobilization, craniosacral therapy, and structural adjustments.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on each patient's condition, lifestyle, and recovery goals.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment approaches accordingly.
- Educate patients on posture correction, ergonomics, rehabilitation exercises, and preventive care.
- Maintain accurate records of patient assessments, treatment notes, and progress reports.
- Collaborate with physiotherapists, TCM physicians, chiropractors, and other healthcare professionals to deliver integrated care.
- Uphold all clinical, safety, and ethical standards required by the clinic.
Requirements
- Recognized qualification as a Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) or equivalent osteopathic degree.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, biomechanics, and osteopathic principles.
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience
- Excellent manual therapy skills and patient communication abilities.
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently.
- Compassionate, professional, and patient-oriented.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in treating sports injuries, chronic pain, or postural issues.
- Knowledge of rehabilitation, exercise therapy, or integrative medicine.
