Core Responsibilities



  • Lead and implement the distribution strategy in alignment with APAC growth plans, delivering and continuously improving cost, responsiveness, and reliability.
  • Lead the team to provide governance over appointed 3PLs, ensuring performance meets service level agreements and adheres to the LEGO Group's standards.
  • Ensure cost-effective distribution operations and keep distribution spend within budget.
  • Establish monthly, weekly, and daily reporting on distribution centre performance, ensuring key metrics are accurately captured.
  • Partner with Business Unit stakeholders to align distribution with business requirements and support daily operations that enable sales and customer service.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through accurate order processing at distribution centres, timely deliveries, and effective communication with Business Units and customers.
  • Collaborate with the Customer Logistics team to manage customer initiatives required to serve our customers, in line with the business strategy.
  • Build and maintain influential, collaborative relationships with key stakeholders across APAC market groups, regional teams, and global operations.
  • Partner with the Procurement team on supplier relationship management, ensuring providers deliver on contractual commitments and driving short- to long-term improvement plans.
  • Drive operational excellence throughout the distribution process by developing and implementing best practices, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and performance metrics that promote continuous improvement and productivity.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to logistics, safety, and supply chain disruptions.

The Distribution Director leads a team to manage APAC regional distribution operations, ensuring efficient, cost-effective, and reliable performance. This role oversees third-party logistics (3PL) partners, monitors performance reporting, and aligns operations with business needs to support sales and customer service.

Key responsibilities include budget management, stakeholder collaboration, supplier relationship management, and driving continuous improvement in distribution processes. The role also ensures compliance with regulations and proactively mitigates risks related to logistics and supply chain disruptions.

Do You Have What It Takes



  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in distribution, logistics, or supply chain operations.
  • Proven track record in managing 3PLs, driving performance improvements, and implementing best practices.
  • Strong knowledge of FMCG-specific logistics challenges, including high volumes, small-order deliveries, high SKU turnover, and promotional demand spikes.
  • Strong ability to establish strategic partnerships with Logistics Service Providers to drive delivery excellence and order fulfilment.
  • Demonstrated experience managing stakeholders in a diverse, cross-functional environment.
  • Team-oriented with strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to manage responsibilities independently.
  • Proven ability to lead diverse teams and deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Proven record of leveraging data and insights to make informed decisions and drive continuous improvement.
  • APICS certification (CLTD, CPIM, or CSCP) is a plus.
  • Experience with WMS, TMS, and ERP systems; proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of the SAP Sales and Distribution module is a plus.
  • Experience leading digital transformation and sustainability initiatives in logistics is a plus.
