Working Hours:
- Monday to Thursday: 8:30am - 6:00pm
- Friday: 8:30am - 5:30pm
- No work required on Saturdays, Sundays, or gazetted public holidays
Job Purpose
We are seeking a competent andreliable individual to provide investigative, disciplinary, andadministrative support for student management matters within a schoolenvironment. The role supports discipline, detention, suspension, and studentcase management processes, ensuring confidentiality, fairness, and continuityof learning.
Key Responsibilities
1. Investigative & CaseSupport
- Assist with preliminary investigations and fact‑finding interviews related to minor student incidents
- Obtain statements from students and witnesses where appropriate
- Compile evidence and prepare structured incident reports for review by relevant school leaders
2. Detention & IGNITE PlusProgramme Support
- Supervise students assigned to:
- Detention (Monday to Thursday), or
- IGNITE Plus Programme (Monday and Wednesday), at any time during the day
- Ensure students complete assigned tasks during detention
- Follow up with form teachers on detained students who miss detention
- Ensure detention tasks are meaningful, corrective, and developmental
3. In‑House Suspension Support
- Support school staff in managing students who are:
- Out of class
- On internal suspension
- Absent from class
- Support learning continuity during suspension through coordination with form teachers
4. Administrative & DataSupport
- Perform data entry related to late‑coming, offences, and interventions
- Compile weekly or monthly discipline statistics when required
- Assist with monitoring student reporting channels
- Review detention, late‑coming, and corrective work processes during school holidays
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all student information
5. General Duties
- Perform other administrative or operational duties related to student management as assigned by the Authority
Skills & Experience
- Preferably 3 years of relevant working experience in:
- Uniformed services (e.g. Police, Prison Service, or equivalent), or
- Youth‑related case investigation or discipline roles
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google collaborative tools
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to multitask and work both independently and as part of a team
- Calm, composed, and able to handle challenging student situations professionally
