Job Summary
We are seeking a Director to lead strategic initiatives and oversee daily operations, supporting the Managing Director to achieve business goals. Reporting directly to the Managing Director. This role collaborates with headquarters in Japan and regional subsidiaries to align corporate strategies and drive business growth.
Responsibilities
- Lead corporate functions, operations, business development, and performance management to achieve organizational objectives
- Support the Managing Director in business planning, operational management, and key decision-making processes to drive effective outcomes
- Collaborate with headquarters in Japan and regional subsidiaries to align corporate policies, initiatives, and business direction for cohesive strategy execution
- Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to expand market presence and increase revenue
- Identify new business opportunities and maintain strong relationships with customers, potential clients, and partners to foster growth
- Coordinate internal and external audits to ensure compliance with regulatory and corporate standards
- Travel as required, especially to India, to support regional business development, partnerships, and operational oversight
- Ensure adherence to company policies, corporate governance, and local regulatory requirements to maintain operational integrity
- Foster open communication with staff and promote a culture of psychological safety to enhance team engagement
- Represent or act on behalf of the Managing Director when necessary to maintain leadership continuity
Required competencies and certifications
- Degree in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, or a related field
- Minimum 8-10 years of senior managerial experience with regional or multi-country responsibilities, preferably in the Chemical or Polymer industry
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently, particularly to India
