Our Asia Pacific Investments business has a large, dedicated and highly experienced investment team which has been investing across the region since 1985, and manages all our Asian products, including regional, country, smaller companies, and sustainable investing propositions.
The team has a strong regional footprint with offices in Singapore, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Seoul, and Sydney. This breadth gives us close proximity to the companies we own and the markets we invest in. Our APAC operations have been based in Singapore since 1992. We invest in Asian companies to grow with them and to help them to become better investors.
Role Definition
Director, Wholesale
Business Development
- In depth knowledge of investment products to engage a diversity of clients, bankers and product providers to raise awareness of Aberdeen's investment capabilities and potential.
Client Relationship Management
- To act as a conduit into investments for clients, identify client needs and coordinates efforts to serve assigned intermediaries.
- Responsible for maintaining and expanding existing relationships to ensure client satisfaction & retention.
- To conduct sales/products training meetings for assigned intermediaries and make presentations to existing or prospective clients.
Reporting
- Meeting notes to be added to Salesforce or any other similar CRM system, in a timely manner, with a clear and precise overview of the meeting.
- To provide relevant and accurate management reporting for presentational purposes and as required by Team and Department Head.
- Ensure all client and regulatory reporting are completed accurately and submitted in a timely manner.
Strategy
- To work on strategies to expand the distribution of our fund offerings across our existing and new intermediaries.
- To develop and maintain sales programs with assigned intermediaries. May also develop new channel of intermediaries.
Team Management/Supervisory Responsibilities
- To provide guidance and coaching to the other members of the team.
Role Requirements
- Maintain an excellent knowledge of the sales process and a track record in winning business
- An ability to develop strong relationships and be an effective networker.
- Product experience that includes global equities, global fixed income and multi asset solutions.
