Director, Technical Advisory Group

What the day will look like

  • Training and Talent Management: Conduct classroom training for colleagues on all aspects of Reinsurance and help grow and upgrade the overall technical skills of colleagues in Singapore and network offices in Asia conduct classroom training for clients in SG and parts of Asia on aspects of Reinsurance
  • Knowledge sharing/mentoring - provide necessary mentoring and on the job training to junior Broking and Broking Support staff in the Singapore office to enhance technical services to clients and support negotiation with reinsurers.
  • Provide necessary technical assistance during renewals by reviewing placement documentation e.g: Slips and Information Packs for teams in Singapore and network offices in Asia.
  • Review and sign treaty cover notes - post placement for clients in Singapore and parts of Asia
  • Provide support to the senior business leaders by conducting reviews of reinsurance slips and other documents and provide suggestions for improvements including during RFPs and tenders

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Thorough knowledge of all aspects of reinsurance treaties and a deep understanding of the reinsurance market in Asia.
  • Minimum 10 to 15 years of experience in a senior role in with a Reinsurer or a Reinsurance Broker in Asia. 5 years of experience in training and mentoring colleagues.
