Job Description

The Director for Strategic and Transformation Office is responsible for driving priority strategic and transformation initiatives across designated functions, business units, or regions. This role translates corporate and functional strategies into structured programs and actionable initiatives, ensuring disciplined execution, cross‑functional alignment, and measurable business outcomes.

The role acts as a trusted partner to functional and business leaders, providing strong execution leadership, governance, and insights to enable organizational effectiveness and transformation.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy Execution & Transformation Delivery

  • Translate corporate, regional, or functional strategies into executable transformation roadmaps and initiatives.
  • Lead assigned strategic and transformation programs covering areas such as operating model optimization, process improvement, organizational effectiveness, and capability building.
  • Ensure initiatives are clearly scoped, resourced, and delivered according to agreed objectives, timelines, and success metrics.
  • Conduct business analysis, diagnostics, and benchmarking to identify improvement opportunities and inform decision‑making.

Program & Portfolio Management

  • Manage a defined portfolio of strategic and transformation initiatives with clear governance, milestones, and benefits tracking.
  • Establish and run program management disciplines including planning, progress tracking, issue management, and escalation.
  • Identify execution risks, interdependencies, and resource constraints, and proactively drive mitigation actions with stakeholders.
  • Prepare structured updates and recommendations for governance forums and senior management reviews.

Cross‑Functional Coordination & Stakeholder Management

  • Coordinate across multiple functions and teams to ensure alignment, collaboration, and effective execution.
  • Work closely with functional leads, business unit leaders, and project owners to clarify roles, responsibilities, and deliverables.
  • Influence stakeholders through data‑driven insights, clear communication, and structured problem‑solving.

Performance Tracking & Management Insights

  • Define KPIs and outcome measures for transformation initiatives in line with agreed objectives.
  • Monitor and analyze progress, translating data into concise management insights.
  • Support leadership with decision materials, progress dashboards, and post‑implementation reviews.

Ways of Working & Capability Enablement

  • Promote disciplined ways of working in program execution, problem solving, and change management.
  • Support the adoption of best practices, tools, and methodologies within strategic initiatives.
  • Coach project team members and junior transformation resources, contributing to capability development within the organization.

Requirements & Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree required Master's degree or MBA is an advantage.
  • Minimum 8-12 years of experience in strategy execution, transformation, PMO, operational excellence, or management consulting.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross‑functional initiatives with tangible business outcomes.
  • Experience in regional or multi‑function environments is preferred.
