Roles & Responsibilities
Lead the Treasury Center,overseeing liquidity, capital structure, and financial risk management.
Reporting to Japan HQ in mainly Japanese, you advise on cash management, hedging strategies, and the relevant financing coordination including ship financing arrangements.
You will be responsible for ensuring the group's financial resilience in a volatile global market while spearheading sustainability-linked financing initiatives.
1. Strategic Liquidity & Cash Management including taking care of tax efficiency
- Regional Oversight: Manage daily cash positioning and liquidity for entities in CMS, optimizing the movement of funds and intercompany lending.
- Forecasting: Direct the development of advanced cash flow forecasting models to predict long-term funding needs and surplus.
- Working Capital: Partner with business units to optimize the cash conversion cycle and reduce the cost of funding not limited to but also seeking tax efficiency.
2. Financial Risk & Hedging & Ship Finance
- FX & Interest Rate Risk: Execute robust hedging strategies to mitigate volatility in foreign exchange and interest rates using derivatives and natural hedges.
- Ship Finance: Negotiate, structure and close financing for vessels by Corporate finance/Project Finance/JOLCO etc on behalf of the affiliates.
3. Capital Markets & Banking Relations
- Funding Strategy: Lead debt sourcing initiatives, including bilateral/syndicated loans and debt capital market transactions.
- Bank Management: Manage high-level relationships and facilities with global and local banks in both Japanese and English
- M&A Support: Provide treasury expertise for regional M&A activities, including funding structures and post-merger integration.
4. Digital Transformation & ESG
- ERP Implementation: Automate settlements and reporting.
- Sustainable Finance: Lead the adoption of ESG-linked financing products
Requirements
Post Graduate or Good University Degree or Equivalent
Ability to handle confidential information and possess effective communication skills
Native Speaker or proficiency in Japanese language JLPT=N1 or BJT=J1+
