About the Role

We are seeking an accomplished Director/ Senior Director of Technology Development & Transfer responsible for defining and executing the technology roadmap, leading, and developing engineering teams, and overseeing the development of new and/or technology transfer for semiconductor processes and products.

Key Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include driving innovation, ensuring seamless transitions from R&D to high-volume manufacturing, managing budgets, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to solve technical challenges.

  • Strategic and technical leadership: Define the strategic roadmap for technology development, set goals, and provide technical direction for R&D and process development/transfer teams.
  • Develop and optimize new process modules: lithography, etch, deposition, CMP, implant, etc..
  • Perform experiments (DOE): to improve device performance, yield, and manufacturability.
  • Trouble shooting complex process issues and optimize stability.
  • Maintain documentation (recipes, specs, control plans): For device engineers design and model new device structure.
  • Evaluate electrical performance, reliability, and scaling limits.
  • Conduct TCAD simulations and validate with silicon results.
  • Team management: Build, mentor, and manage a team of R&D technical experts fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • R&D and innovation: Drive research and development initiatives to explore new technologies, materials, and device architectures. Lead the development/transfer of new process technology, and equipment.
  • Product development lifecycle: Oversee the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from concept to commercialization and high-volume manufacturing.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with R&D, product engineering, integration, modules and other departments to ensure alignment and resolve technical challenges.
  • Manufacturing integration: Ensure new processes are successfully integrated into high-volume manufacturing, focusing on scalability, yield, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Performance and reporting: Define performance metrics, track progress against goals, and report on the organization's performance.

Qualification

  • Master's or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in semiconductor technology development, with a proven track record of leading successful projects and teams.
  • Deep understanding of semiconductor processes and manufacturing environments.
  • Strong leadership, people management, and strategic planning skills.
