We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Director of Sales & Partnerships to spearhead our commercial strategy for the pre-opening and launch of METT Hotel Singapore. This role is responsible for the daily sales efforts & overall positioning of the hotel, partnership & the development of customers for the property including rooms and F&B dining outlets as well as for strategies, implementation, market performance, meeting budget forecast, & optimal business mix targets. Strategies will include pricing, status, direct sales, and partnership.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy Development:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with the companys goals and objectives.
- Identify new business opportunities, including market expansion, new verticals, and sales channels.
- Set sales targets and KPIs, ensuring the team meets or exceeds expectations.
- Manage the Sales team in the execution of sales activities in accordance with the Annual Sales Plan and Sales objectives to achieve the Hotel budget and maximize revenues of the Hotels.
- Oversee preparations and definition of the Sales Plan and manual for the department and participate in setting up the sales policies, procedures and objectives.
- Ensure that regular and appropriate communication is carried out and assist the Hotel Sales team in achieving their goals.
- Achieve the hotel room revenue, and other incremental financial objectives of the hotel by being proactively to be in charge of local and international travel agents/tour operators, conference-meeting-incentive organizers, key corporate accounts, government accounts, embassy and consulates.
- Manages assigned FIT & Leisure Group accounts and following up to materialize the budgeted revenues through existing clientele and prospects.
- Determines annual and gross-profit plans by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions; projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products; analyzing trends and results; establishing pricing strategies; recommending selling prices; monitoring costs, competition, supply, and demand.
Team Leadership and Management:
- Provide coaching and mentorship to ensure continuous development and performance improvement.
- Collaborate with other departments (marketing, product, etc.) to ensure alignment and effective execution of the sales strategy.
- Assist the Sales Team in defining an annual sales action plan and execute set actions accordingly.
- Lead, motivate, and manage the sales team in the execution of sales activities in accordance with the Annual Sales Plan and Sales objectives to achieve the Hotel budget and maximize revenues of the Hotels.
Sales Operations and Reporting:
- Develop and promote weekly, monthly and quarterly sales objectives.
- Detailed knowledge of all services provided by the hotel and all relevant facts and figures of the brand.
- Preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements; implementing change
- Accomplishes sales objectives by planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating advertising, merchandising, and trade promotion programs, developing field sales action plans.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organization.
- Oversee rate distribution strategy of the hotel and manage profitable sales operations.
Partnership Development:
- Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with key industry players, potential clients, and stakeholders.
- Negotiate and close high-value partnership agreements to expand the companys reach and influence.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing partners and explore new opportunities for collaboration.
- Develop and manage relationships with external organizations (e.g., advertising, and public relations agencies, market research firms, etc.) as necessary to assist with the development and implementation of hotel marketing efforts in a cost-effective and results oriented manner toward the achievement of predetermined goals
- Responsible for key account management on an assigned account base or geographic area, ensuring revenue maximization, the achievement of personal targets, and increasing fair market share versus competitor set.
Market and Competitive Analysis:
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to adapt the sales strategy accordingly.
- Develop actionable insights from market analysis and use them to drive business decisions.
- Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status
- Analyze overall monthly property performance and provide summary report with recommendations to improve short, middle and long-term strategies by account basis.
Ideal Candidate:
- BA degree in Marketing from a reputable university or any related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in similar position in hospitality industry (5-star Hotel or resort)
- Excellent communication skills, English is a must
