As the Director of Sales & Marketing, you will be a key member of the Executive Committee, responsible for shaping and executing integrated sales and marketing strategies. You will lead high-performing teams, cultivate strategic partnerships, and position the hotel as a preferred choice across corporate, MICE, and leisure segments.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Revenue Strategy
Develop and execute integrated sales and marketing strategies to maximise revenue, profitability, and market share.
Drive business development initiatives by securing new accounts while strengthening existing client relationships.
Collaborate closely with the Revenue Management team to optimise pricing strategies, distribution channels, and business mix.
Monitor and analyse market trends, competitor activities, and customer insights to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
Leadership & Team Management
Lead, mentor, and inspire the Sales, Catering Sales, and Marketing teams to consistently achieve and exceed targets.
Establish clear KPIs, performance metrics, and accountability frameworks.
Foster a high-performance, collaborative, and service-oriented culture aligned with the hotel's brand values.
Drive talent development, succession planning, and retention strategies to build a strong leadership pipeline.
Marketing & Brand Management
Oversee all marketing, branding, and promotional initiatives across digital, social, and traditional platforms.
Ensure brand integrity and consistency in alignment with Pan Pacific Hotels Group standards.
Champion creative and innovative campaigns to enhance brand visibility, positioning, and guest engagement.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
Build and maintain strong relationships with key corporate clients, partners, and industry stakeholders.
Represent the hotel at trade shows, networking events, and sales missions locally and internationally.
Support and guide the team in negotiating and closing high-value business opportunities.
Financial & Operational Oversight
Develop and manage departmental budgets, ensuring effective cost control and return on investment.
Track and evaluate sales performance, preparing regular reports, forecasts, and strategic insights for senior leadership.
Optimise the use of distribution channels to maximise yield and drive overall commercial performance.
Requirements
Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related discipline.
Minimum 10 years of progressive sales experience within the hospitality industry.
At least 6 years in a senior leadership capacity (Director of Sales or Director of Sales & Marketing), preferably within a luxury hotel environment.
Demonstrated track record of driving revenue growth, market share expansion, and consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets.
Strong industry network and market presence across corporate, MICE, and travel trade segments.
Proven experience managing diverse market segments and international geographic markets is highly advantageous.
Strategic and commercially astute, with the ability to translate insights into actionable business plans.
Dynamic and inspiring leader with excellent interpersonal, communication, and team development skills.
Highly results-driven, analytical, and organised, with strong attention to detail.
