As Director of Sales & Marketing, you are responsible for leading and driving the overall commercial strategy of the hotel, including Sales, Reservations, Revenue-related coordination, Marketing, Communications, Digital Marketing and Brand Positioning.
This role is accountable for achieving the hotel's room revenue, catering/event sales, market share, brand visibility and profitability objectives. The Director of Sales & Marketing will lead the Sales, Reservations and Marketing teams to maximise revenue opportunities, strengthen key account relationships, enhance market presence, and ensure the hotel remains competitive within the luxury hospitality segment in Singapore.

YOUR DAY TO DAY
Sales Leadership & Business Development
Develop and implement sales strategies for corporate, leisure, MICE, government, long-stay, wholesale and travel trade segments.
Identify new business opportunities and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, corporate clients, travel agents, event organisers and business partners.
Lead the sales team in achieving individual and departmental revenue goals.
Conduct regular sales calls, client meetings, site inspections and networking activities.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities and business opportunities within Singapore's luxury hotel market.
Work closely with the General Manager and Revenue team to drive pricing strategy, market positioning and revenue optimisation.
Represent the hotel at trade shows, client events, sales missions and industry networking functions.
Ensure effective account management and maintain a strong sales pipeline.
Reservations & Revenue Coordination
Provide leadership and direction to the Reservations team to maximise room revenue and conversion.
Ensure reservation standards, response times and service quality are maintained.
Work closely with Revenue Management to review rate strategies, room availability, market demand and booking trends.
Monitor pick-up reports, forecast, occupancy, ADR, RevPAR and business mix.
Ensure all reservation procedures are aligned with hotel standards and brand expectations.
Support upselling initiatives and revenue opportunities through the Reservations team.
Review group bookings, room blocks and special rate requests to ensure profitability.
Marketing, Branding & Communications
Key duties include:
Develop and execute the hotel's marketing and communications plan.
Drive brand awareness through digital marketing, social media, public relations, partnerships and promotional campaigns.
Oversee content creation, advertising, media relations, photography, collaterals and online presence.
Work with internal and external agencies, media partners and brand teams to ensure consistent brand messaging.
Plan marketing campaigns to support rooms, dining, events, weddings, festive promotions and hotel experiences.
Monitor online reputation, guest feedback platforms and digital performance.
Ensure marketing initiatives are aligned with brand standards and commercial objectives.
Identify suitable partnerships with lifestyle brands, tourism partners, corporate partners and local businesses in the Robertson Quay area.
Team Leadership & Department Management
Manage daily operations and performance of the Sales, Reservations and Marketing departments.
Set clear goals, KPIs and action plans for team members.
Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews and coaching sessions.
Build a motivated, professional and results-driven commercial team.
Foster strong communication and collaboration with Front Office, Revenue, F&B, Events, Finance and Operations teams.
Ensure all team members understand hotel revenue goals, brand positioning and service expectations.
Support recruitment, onboarding, training and development of departmental team members.
Budgeting, Reporting & Commercial Planning
Prepare and manage the annual Sales & Marketing budget.
Monitor departmental expenses and ensure cost-effective use of marketing funds.
Prepare sales forecasts, business reviews, production reports and market analysis.
Review account performance, segment performance and campaign return on investment.
Provide regular updates to the General Manager and ownership/management team on sales performance and market conditions.
Participate in revenue meetings, executive committee meetings and strategic planning discussions.
what we need from You
Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management, Business, Marketing or related discipline.
Minimum 8 to 10 years of relevant sales and marketing experience in the hotel industry.
At least 3 to 5 years in a senior leadership role, preferably in a luxury or upscale hotel.
Strong knowledge of Singapore hotel market, corporate accounts, MICE, travel trade and luxury hospitality trends.
Experience overseeing Sales, Reservations and Marketing functions.
Strong commercial mindset with proven ability to drive revenue and market share.
Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
Strong network with corporate clients, travel partners, event organisers and industry contacts.
Good understanding of revenue management, digital marketing and brand positioning.
Able to work independently, lead a team and partner effectively with senior management.
Proficient in hotel systems, CRM tools, Microsoft Office and sales reporting platforms.
