HipVan, is seeking aDirector of Product to lead the next chapter of our growth journey. This role sits at the intersection of commerce, content, and community building out Communa, our content-led, community-first growth engine and scaling HipVans e-commerce platform. The Director will set the vision for product-led growth across both businesses, driving experimentation, customer engagement, and unit economics. This is a senior leadership position that combines strategic foresight with hands-on execution, and requires deep experience in growth, product, and cross-functional leadership. You will work closely with the CEO and CFO to help shape the next generational social commerce platform in the home & living space.
Key Responsibilities
- Build the contentcommerce bridge (Communa): Develop and grow Communa as a platform that connects authentic content, community engagement, and shoppable experiences, driving both traffic and conversions for HipVan.
- Own and drive the product vision across HipVan and Communa: Define and execute a unified product-led strategy that leverages commerce, content, and community for scale and strong unit economics.
- Lead cross-functional experimentation: Establish a culture of rapid testing and iteration across both businesses, optimizing the entire funnel (acquisition, engagement, retention, monetization, referrals).
- Customer empathy and market foresight: Translate deep understanding of customers and emerging digital behavior into scalable strategies that combineshopping, storytelling, and social engagement.
- Scale growth systems: Implement frameworks, data pipelines, and playbooks to institutionalize growth experimentation across teams.
- Analytics and insights leadership: Champion data-driven decision-making, building the systems to measure and track the impact of growth initiatives across e-commerce and content.
- Build and mentor a high-performing product and growth team: Coach, and lead PMs and analysts, instilling structured growth practices and ownership of initiatives.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experiencein Product Management, Growth, Strategy, or related roles, preferably with at least 2+ years in leadership.
- Proven track record of scalingconsumer internet platforms(e-commerce, marketplaces, social or content/community products).
- Strong understanding ofproduct management and growth frameworksand how to adapt them forcontent + commerce ecosystems.
- Experienced in buildingcontent/community-led growth loops, ideally with exposure to SEO, UGC, influencer/creator ecosystems, and engagement platforms.
- Passion for blendinguser research, design, and commerceinto differentiated customer experiences.
- Strongdata and analytics capability, able to dive deep into metrics and translate insights into strategy and action.
- Entrepreneurial and resourceful, with the ability to operate in ambiguity and scale scrappy ideas into structured, high-impact initiatives.
- Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills, with experience aligning senior executives and large cross-functional teams.
- Collaborative team player who balances strategic leadership with hands-on execution, with a focus on delivering results
