About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on, execution-driven Director of Operations to lead and grow our Web3 product lines specifically our Wallet, DEX, and Perpetual (Perp) products. This is not a strategic-planning-only role; we need someone who has been in the trenches of exchange operations, understands how crypto growth actually works, and can move fast when the market moves.
The ideal candidate comes from a small-to-mid-size exchange where they personally drove operational results without relying on the platform's brand or organic traffic. You know how affiliate programs, BD partnerships, and campaign execution work not in theory, but because you've built and run them yourself.
Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end operations for the Web3 product suite (Wallet, DEX, Perp), including user acquisition, engagement, and retention.
- Design and execute go-to-market campaigns that respond to real-time market conditions with speed and precision.
- Build and manage affiliate/referral programs, BD partnerships, and KOL collaborations to drive product adoption.
- Identify and capitalize on trending narratives (e.g., new chains, token launches, airdrop seasons) to generate traffic and engagement.
- Develop and optimize operational playbooks for growth in a low-organic-traffic environment resourcefulness over resources.
- Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to translate user and market feedback into product improvements.
- Lead, mentor, and scale a lean operations team with a bias toward action and accountability.
- Monitor competitive landscape across wallets, DEX aggregators, and perp platforms to identify opportunities and threats.
Requirements
- 5+ years of operations experience in the cryptocurrency/exchange industry, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record at a small-to-mid-size exchange where personal initiative not platform traffic drove results.
- Deep, hands-on understanding of wallet products (gas sponsorship, DApp browsers, on-chain interactions), DEX mechanics (aggregation, liquidity, incentive models), and perpetual/derivatives trading.
- Strong command of exchange growth levers: affiliate/rebate programs, BD pipelines, event-driven campaigns, and community operations.
- Ability to operate at a fast tempo comfortable launching campaigns in hours, not weeks, when the market demands it.
- Fluent in Mandarin Chinese (written and spoken); English proficiency required.
- Self-driven, detail-oriented, and willing to do whatever it takes this role rewards grit over glamour.
Nice to Have
- Experience with on-chain growth tactics (quests, points programs, NFT campaigns) and understanding of their trade-offs.
- Existing network of KOLs, affiliates, or BD contacts in the crypto space.
- Familiarity with data analytics tools for tracking on-chain and off-chain campaign performance.
- Prior experience managing cross-functional teams across multiple time zones.
