Job Description

Omni Devices (www.omnidevices.com) a wholly owned subsidiary of Home Control International Limited (1747.HK) is a global leader in home entertainment wireless control solutions provider. Since 1990, we have designed, developed, and manufactured over a billion devices for top brands in Pay TV, consumer electronics, home automation, and PC/OTT segments. In the recent years the company has diversified into other adjacent domains, all have been of B2B in nature. We have a new role to venture into B2C eCommerce business.

Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Director of New eCommerce Business at Omni Devices. You will be responsible to collaborate with the management and cross-functions to build a team structure and processes for the new venture.

The Director of eCommerce will spearhead the company's foray into the B2C market by building our direct-to-consumer (D2C) division from the ground up. This role is responsible for architecting our digital tech stack, launching the flagship eCommerce platform, and developing the multi-channel sales and fulfilment strategy to successfully engage end-consumers.

Role Overview

As our Director of eCommerce, you will be the foundational leader of our new B2C venture. Shifting from a strictly B2B model, you will conceptualise, build, and optimise the systems required to market, sell, and distribute products directly to consumers. This includes setting up the web infrastructure, digital marketing strategy, and logistics pipelines necessary to drive a profitable direct-to-consumer business.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategy & System Setup

  • Architect the end-to-end eCommerce ecosystem, leading the selection and implementation of platforms and integrating them with our internal ERP systems.
  • Establish and manage the overall P&L for the B2C venture, forecasting yearly budgets, and ensuring unit economics and lifetime value (LTV) goals are met.
  • Define our presence across multiple digital touchpoints, including our owned .com site and third-party marketplaces (e.g., global and regional platforms).

2. Operations & Fulfillment

  • Design the operational infrastructure for B2C order fulfillment, partnering with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to ensure scalable, accurate, and timely delivery.
  • Oversee inventory management and demand planning specific to individual consumer buying patterns to prevent stockouts and optimize turnover.
  • Manage post-purchase experiences, including shipping notifications, returns processing, and customer support infrastructure.

3. Marketing & Customer Acquisition

  • Develop digital marketing funnels and consumer acquisition strategies to drive traffic.
  • Lead conversion rate optimization (CRO) by running A/B testing on landing pages, navigation, and the checkout funnel to minimize cart abandonment.
  • Set up data analytics and tracking dashboards (e.g., Google Analytics, Mixpanel) to monitor ROI and user behavior.

4. Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Build, hire, and mentor a high-performing eCommerce team (including digital marketers, web developers, and customer experience specialists).
  • Act as the bridge between the new B2C venture and legacy B2B teams, ensuring product definition and development, supply chain, and brand messaging align smoothly.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience: 8+ years of progressive eCommerce experience, with a proven track record of successfully launching, managing, or scaling a D2C/B2C business.
  • B2B to B2C transition: Direct experience migrating a traditional B2B manufacturer/distributor into the B2C space is highly preferred.
  • Technical Acumen: Deep familiarity with modern eCommerce CMS, payment gateways, and analytics platforms.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong financial and operational understanding, specifically regarding P&L management, CAC (Customer Acquisition Cost), and ROAS (Return on Ad Spend).
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Location: Base in Singapore HQ office.
