Job Description
Exceptional Hospitality Starts with You
Picture yourself brightening someone's day. When you join our Hotels team, that's exactly what you'll do every time you come to work! You will be developing strategic marketing plans for the hotel and then overseeing the implementation and execution of the various efforts associated with the marketing plan. This might include evaluating the results of different marketing campaigns, spearheading market research efforts, or coordinating initiatives across a variety of channels. As a
Director of Marketing Communications, you're not just executing marketing campaigns to drive revenue growth – you're spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest.
About The Role
As
Director of Marketing Communications at Conrad Singapore Orchard, you will lead the strategic direction, development, and execution of integrated marketing and communications initiatives across the hotel's key commercial pillars — Rooms, Food & Beverage, Groups, Meetings & Events, and Weddings.
Reporting to the Commercial Director, you will serve as the custodian of the hotel's brand positioning, reputation, and voice, shaping how the property is presented across every guest and customer touchpoint. Working closely with senior leadership and operational stakeholders, you will develop strategies that strengthen brand visibility, drive commercial performance, elevate guest engagement, and reinforce the hotel's position within Singapore's luxury hospitality landscape.
This role oversees the hotel's integrated approach across brand marketing, digital, content, social media, public relations, partnerships, and communications — ensuring all activities are strategically aligned to business priorities and commercial objectives.
As a departmental leader, you will provide direction and mentorship to the Marketing Communications team, fostering a high-performing, collaborative, and creatively driven culture while championing excellence in execution, innovation, and cross-functional partnership across the business.
Responsibilities
Specifically, as
Director of Marketing Communications, you will perform the following tasks to the highest standards:
Strategic Marketing Leadership & Hotel Positioning
- Lead the development and execution of the hotel's integrated marketing and communications strategy across Rooms, Food & Beverage, Groups, Meetings & Events, and Weddings, ensuring alignment with commercial priorities, business objectives, and brand standards.
- Serve as the custodian of the hotel's positioning, developing campaigns, narratives, and storytelling initiatives that strengthen market presence and guest engagement.
- Identify market opportunities, consumer trends, and competitive insights to inform strategic planning and drive commercial advantage.
- Partner closely with senior leadership to support hotel priorities, key business initiatives, and long-term growth objectives.
Integrated Campaigns, Digital & Content Strategy
- Oversee the planning and execution of integrated campaigns across all business pillars through digital, social media, CRM, partnerships, PR, and traditional channels to drive awareness, engagement, and revenue performance.
- Lead the hotel's content and communications strategy across owned, earned, and third-party platforms, ensuring consistency in messaging, tone of voice, and visual identity.
- Direct the development of creative assets including photography, videography, editorial storytelling, collateral, and multimedia content to support campaigns and elevate brand perception.
- Ensure the hotel's digital ecosystem — including website content, social platforms, email communications, and OTA presence — is actively managed, optimised, and aligned with commercial objectives and brand standards.
Public Relations, Media & Reputation
- Lead the development and execution of public relations and communications strategies that strengthen the hotel's visibility and reputation across local, regional, and international markets.
- Oversee media relations, press materials, partnerships, influencer engagement, and brand activations to maximise earned media opportunities and reinforce positioning.
- Safeguard brand reputation through strategic communications planning, issue management, and crisis communications preparedness where required.
- Ensure all marketing and communications materials comply with brand, legal, and corporate guidelines.
Commercial Performance & Business Planning
- Partner closely with Commercial, Revenue, Sales, and operational teams to develop strategies that support revenue generation, market share growth, and overall business performance.
- Establish and monitor marketing performance metrics and campaign effectiveness, leveraging insights and data to optimise strategy and inform future planning.
- Oversee annual marketing planning, budget management, forecasting, and expenditure tracking to ensure commercial accountability and effective resource allocation.
- Evaluate strategic partnerships, collaborations, and activation opportunities that support business growth and enhance brand visibility.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Marketing Communications team, fostering a collaborative, high-performing, and creatively ambitious culture.
- Provide strategic direction, prioritisation, and guidance to ensure excellence in execution across all initiatives and campaigns.
- Build strong cross-functional relationships across the hotel to drive alignment, operational efficiency, and effective collaboration.
- Oversee agency, media, creative, and production partners to ensure quality, consistency, and successful delivery across all projects.
Other Duties
- Carry out any other reasonable responsibilities and duties as assigned by management.
