Position: Director of Marketing and Communications

Position Reports To: Director of Sales and Marketing

Main Tasks/Responsibilities:

  • Lead and execute the overall marketing strategy to drive revenue across Rooms, Food & Beverage, and Events.
  • Ensure brand positioning and communications align with corporate guidelines and commercial objectives.
  • Own the marketing strategy and positioning of the hotel's event spaces (Lobby, SkyBar/Pool, Meeting Room), with dedicated focus on MICE visibility and lead generation.
  • Drive event and MICE marketing initiatives including content creation, digital campaigns, listingsbled listings, offers, advertising, and promotional activities.
  • Work closely with Sales to support conversion through campaigns and marketing materials.
  • Lead and manage Social Media strategy and performance across key markets.
  • Oversee website content, OTAs, booking engine updates, and campaign go-live coordination.
  • Drive F&B and outlet marketing initiatives including promotions, programming support, partnerships, and influencer collaborations.
  • Plan and execute brand-led events and client engagement activities to promote the hotel and its spaces.
  • Manage creative services, design, and strategic support resources, collaborating closely with hotel and Corporate teams to develop integrated content marketing plans.
  • Execute digital marketing strategies across all revenue areas.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Operations, and Corporate Office to ensure integrated and brand-compliant execution.
  • Manage and control marketing budgets, track performance (ROI and lead generation), and maintain Marketing policies and procedures.
  • Support local PR initiatives, partnerships, guest experience programming, and contribute to COMO's sustainability goals.

Key Requirements:

  • Education degree within Hospitality or Marketing & Communications
  • A minimum of 8 years experience in a Hotel Marketing and/or Communications role and/or Events Management role
  • Experience in the luxury travel industry preferred
  • Fluency in English oral and written with excellent writing skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • The ability to write a press release
  • A self-starter and team player
  • Proven record in being able to organize, plan and prioritize and manage own time
