I'm partnering with a fast‑growing, hyperscale data centre platform that is building out a dedicated regional site selection and land banking function across Asia.
We're looking for a Vice President to own the end‑to‑end land and site strategy across markets such as India, Japan and broader Asia, working closely with power, development and customer teams to secure development‑ready sites for the next generation of large‑scale campuses.
Experience in the Middle East would be a value-add, with platform expansion imminent.
This is not a first deal or single‑market role. It's a senior mandate to:
- Define and drive a regional site selection strategy, aligning land and capacity with customer demand and long‑term growth plans
- Lead and scale a multi‑disciplinary team covering site acquisition, master planning, due diligence and permitting across multiple jurisdictions
- Originate and execute complex land transactions, partnerships and JV‑style structures, balancing speed to market with risk, cost and long‑term value
- Work hand‑in‑hand with energy, development and corporate teams to ensure sites are power‑ready, scalable and capable of supporting gigawatt‑scale campuses
- Build and maintain senior relationships with landowners, regulators, utilities and key partners, often in opaque or emerging markets
What I'm looking for
You'll likely come from one of:
- A leading data centre, logistics or industrial platform, where you've led multi‑market land and development pipelines
- A principal investing, platform capital or operating partner role, with responsibility for land‑intensive strategies across Asia
- A major developer or infrastructure player where you've driven site selection, market entry and large‑scale planning in markets like India, Japan, Southeast Asia or similar
You should be able to point to:
- 15+ years in site selection, real estate, infrastructure or data centre development, with a clear track record of large‑scale, cross‑border projects
- Real experience in India and/or Japan – either executing deals yourself or leading teams that have
- Leadership of multi‑disciplinary teams and the ability to operate at executive level, influencing strategy, capital deployment and customer outcomes
- Comfort working in regulatory and planning‑heavy environments, navigating approvals and de‑risking projects early
This role suits someone who enjoys building platforms, not just closing one‑off deals: setting frameworks, standards and governance so the organisation can execute consistently across very different markets.
