Role Purpose
AYP Group is seeking a Director of Finance & Financial Governance to strengthen the organisation's financial discipline, governance framework, and decision making capability as the company continues to scale across Asia Pacific.
This role is responsible for ensuring that AYP operates with strong financial governance, regulatory compliance, and financial clarity, enabling leadership to make informed decisions and reinforcing the company's commitment to delivering peace of mind to clients and stakeholders.
The Director will lead the finance function and play a critical role in establishing governance frameworks that ensure financial integrity across systems, processes, and operations as AYP evolves into a more platform-driven organisation.
This role reports to the Managing Director.
Key Responsibilities
1.Financial Governance & Compliance
- Establish and maintain strong financial governance frameworks across the organisation.
- Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements across all operating jurisdictions.
- Maintain audit-ready financial records and internal controls.
- Monitor financial risk exposure, including payroll liabilities, client deposits, and vendor obligations.
- Implement financial policies and approval frameworks that safeguard the company's financial integrity.
2.Financial Reporting & Operational Finance
- Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, including management accounts and financial statements.
- Ensure financial data integrity across systems used for billing, payroll, and revenue recognition.
- Strengthen financial processes supporting operational activities such as payroll funding, client billing, and partner payments.
- Work closely with operational teams to ensure financial processes are scalable and reliable.
3.Strategic Advisory
- Provide financial insights and structured recommendations to support leadership decision-making.
- Evaluate financial implications of strategic initiatives, including product investments, expansion opportunities, and pricing strategies.
- Support leadership with financial modelling and forward-looking financial planning.
4.Price Transparency & Financial Clarity
- Strengthen financial visibility across services, markets, and client engagements.
- Ensure pricing structures and service margins remain transparent, sustainable, and aligned with company strategy.
- Develop financial dashboards and reporting that provide leadership with clear insights into revenue performance, cost structures, and financial risks.
5.Data Integrity & Financial Systems Governance
- Establish governance processes to ensure accuracy and consistency of financial data across systems.
- Work closely with product and technology teams to ensure financial logic is properly embedded in platform systems such as AYP Global Pay (AGP).
- Implement controls to ensure automated billing and financial processes operate reliably.
- Ensure master financial data is properly governed with clear ownership and validation rules.
6.Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead and develop the finance team to strengthen financial discipline across the organisation.
- Collaborate closely with sales, operations, product, and leadership teams to ensure financial processes support operational excellence.
- Promote a culture of accountability, transparency, and data-driven decision-making.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in finance, including leadership roles such as Financial Controller or Head of Finance.
- Experience in regional finance operations and multi country financial governance.
- Strong understanding of financial controls, regulatory compliance, and operational finance.
- Experience supporting systems driven financial processes or platform enabled operations is advantageous.
