Role Description
This is a senior leadership role responsible for driving enterprise-wide digital change, modernizing systems, automating processes, and enabling data- and technology-driven business models. It focuses on strategy, execution, and change management across people, processes, and technology.
A Director of Digital Transformation typically acts as the bridge between business leadership (CEO/COO) and technology teams (IT, data, engineering).
Key Responsibilities
- Defining and executing the organization's digital transformation strategy
- Identifying opportunities to digitize, automate, and optimize business processes
- Leading large-scale transformation programs across multiple departments
- Driving adoption of cloud, AI, data platforms, and modern enterprise systems
- Overseeing ERP, CRM, and enterprise system modernization projects
- Managing cross-functional transformation teams (IT, operations, finance, HR, etc.)
- Improving operational efficiency through automation and process redesign
- Ensuring alignment between technology investments and business goals
- Managing change adoption, training, and organizational readiness
- Tracking transformation KPIs such as cost reduction, productivity gains, and digital adoption
Qualifications (Must-have)
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- 8–15+ years of experience in digital transformation, consulting, IT strategy, or operations improvement
- Strong experience leading cross-functional, enterprise-level programs
- Deep understanding of business processes and enterprise systems
- Strong project/program management skills
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management ability
- Ability to translate business needs into technology solutions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with enterprise systems such as SAP S/4HANA, Oracle Cloud ERP, or Salesforce
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud
- Exposure to consulting firms such as McKinsey & Company, Accenture, Deloitte, or Boston Consulting Group
- Experience with data and analytics tools such as Microsoft Power BI or Tableau
- Strong knowledge of AI, automation, RPA, and workflow orchestration tools
- Experience leading large-scale digital transformation programs (multi-country or enterprise level)
- PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certifications are a plus
- MBA or advanced business/technology degree is highly valued
- Experience in industries such as banking, telecom, retail, logistics, manufacturing, or government
