Job Summary
Identify and develop new business opportunities within the Marine & Offshore industry by conducting sales visits, preparing proposals, and collaborating with internal teams to achieve sales targets and deliver customer-focused solutions.
Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the Marine & Offshore industry to expand market presence
- Conduct regular outdoor sales visits, vessel visits, and customer meetings to build customer relationships and gather market intelligence
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with existing and potential customers to enhance customer loyalty and retention
- Prepare accurate quotations, proposals, and tenders, and follow up on customer enquiries to secure sales contracts
- Achieve assigned sales targets, revenue growth, and profitability objectives through effective sales strategies and customer engagement
- Promote company products, services, and value-added solutions to meet customer needs and differentiate offerings
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, customer requirements, and pricing movements to inform sales tactics and business decisions
- Coordinate with Operations, Procurement, Logistics, Warehouse, and Finance departments to ensure seamless support for customer requirements
- Ensure timely follow-up on quotations, deliveries, customer feedback, and service issues to maintain high customer satisfaction
- Support payment collection follow-up to assist in maintaining healthy cash flow
- Maintain accurate sales records, customer information, visit reports, and sales pipeline updates for effective sales management
- Attend exhibitions, networking events, and business development activities to promote the company and generate leads
- Resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally to uphold company reputation and customer trust
- Support management initiatives, process improvements, and departmental projects to enhance operational efficiency
- Carry out any other duties assigned by Management to support business objectives
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Diploma, Degree, or equivalent qualification in Business, Sales, Maritime, Logistics, Engineering, or related field preferred
- Relevant experience in Sales, Business Development, Account Management, or Customer Service preferred
- Working experience in Marine, Offshore, Ship Chandling, Logistics, Technical Supply, or related industries is an advantage
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to effectively engage stakeholders and close deals
- Sales-driven and customer-focused mindset to achieve targets and deliver value
- Ability and willingness to work under pressure and handle outdoor assignments including customer visits, port visits, and vessel boarding
- Good commercial awareness and problem-solving skills to address customer needs and market challenges
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications for documentation and reporting
