Job Description

Director of Client Partnerships oversees the full client servicing function. This role is responsible for driving client satisfaction, strategic growth, and operational excellence across all key accounts. Director of Client Partnerships works closely with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful marketing solutions and ensure top-tier execution.

Key Responsibilities

1. Client & Relationship Leadership

  • Act as the primary senior contact for key strategic clients.
  • Build strong client partnerships by understanding business challenges, goals, and industry landscape.
  • Lead strategic planning, quarterly reviews, and long-term growth discussions.
  • Manage escalations, contract negotiations, and ensure high client satisfaction.

2. Team Leadership & People Development

  • Provide coaching, mentorship, workflow guidance, and performance reviews.
  • Ensure the team delivers high-quality work, meets KPIs, and follows best practices.
  • Foster collaboration between accounts, strategy, media, creative, and operations teams.

3. Business Growth & Revenue Management

  • Identify upsell, cross-sell, and expansion opportunities across assigned accounts.
  • Develop annual account plans, revenue targets, and profitability forecasts.
  • Review scopes, budgets, and margins to ensure financial health of each account.
  • Support new business pitches as needed.

4. Campaign Governance & Delivery Excellence

  • Oversee campaign planning, execution, optimization, and reporting.
  • Ensure deliverables meet strategic objectives, timelines, and quality standards.
  • Work with strategists to integrate insights, data, and performance learnings.
  • Drive problem-solving and proactively mitigate risks or bottlenecks.

5. Strategic Insight & Market Knowledge

  • Provide strategic recommendations backed by market insights and data.
  • Stay updated on digital trends, media innovations, and industry shifts.
  • Translate insights into actionable strategies for clients and internal teams.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field.
  • 8-12+ years of experience in account management, marketing, digital, or agency roles.
  • Proven experience leading teams and managing complex, multi-channel accounts.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong leadership and people management capabilities.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and client-facing skills.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, campaign strategy, and project delivery.

Language & Market Exposure

  • Strong command of English and Chinese are required (for China or Chinese brands going global).
  • Experience working with international or cross-market clients is highly preferred.
