Job Description

We are partnering with a fast-scaling, APAC-focused Clinical Research Organisation to appoint a Head / Director – Business Development to drive regional and global growth strategy.

This is a high-impact leadership role, reporting directly to the CEO, with full ownership of revenue generation, strategic partnerships, and market expansion across Asia-Pacific.

The Business Development Director will:
  • Lead and execute the APAC business development strategy
  • Own multi-million-dollar revenue targets and pipeline growth
  • Build and expand relationships with global pharma, biotech & medtech sponsors
  • Drive high-value deal pursuits (RFPs, proposals, negotiations)
  • Lead and scale a regional BD, marketing & proposals team
  • Establish strategic alliances across CROs, site networks & partners
  • Represent the organisation at global conferences and industry forums

The Ideal candidate will come with:

  • 10–15+ years in CRO / clinical research business development
  • Proven track record of closing large, complex deals
  • Strong network with global sponsors (pharma, biotech, medtech)
  • Experience managing regional or global BD teams
  • Deep understanding of clinical development (Phase I–IV)
  • Strong exposure to Asia-Pacific markets
  • Strategic, commercial, and highly entrepreneurial mindset
