Reporting to the Chief Marketing & Communications Officer (CMCO), the Director supports the overall strategic direction, integration and operational management of the Marketing & Communications Division (MCD), ensuring communications, media and engagement efforts are aligned to SBF's enterprise priorities and organisational outcomes.
The role serves as the key integration and operational leadership layer across MCD and other divisions, overseeing governance, prioritisation, resource coordination and cross-functional alignment across strategic communications, campaigns and enterprise initiatives.
Responsibilities:
1. Enterprise Integration & Leadership
- Lead integrated planning and operational coordination between MCD workstreams and divisions.
- Drive prioritisation, resource allocation and delivery oversight across strategic communications, media and campaigns.
- Ensure alignment of divisional outputs with SBF's enterprise priorities, organisational roadmap and stakeholder objectives.
- Build scalable workflows, governance structures and operational resilience across the division.
2. Strategic Communications Integration, Execution & Oversight
- Oversee integrated communications planning for major organisational platforms and events, campaigns and national initiatives.
- Support strategic narrative alignment, corporate positioning and stakeholder engagement efforts.
- Provide strategic communications counsel and messaging guidance to leadership and internal stakeholders.
- Monitor communications effectiveness and campaign outcomes across major initiatives.
- Leverage communications analytics, audience insights and performance metrics to inform strategic positioning, stakeholder engagement and campaign effectiveness.
3. Media & Corporate Communications
- Lead corporate communications and media engagement efforts across key organisational initiatives and announcements.
- Oversee development of key messages, talking points, speeches and thought leadership materials.
- Cultivate strong relationships with media, external stakeholders and strategic partners.
- Lead communications preparedness and issues management strategies to safeguard organisational reputation and stakeholder trust.
4. Team Leadership & Capability Development
- Lead, mentor and develop the MCD team across communications, media, social amplification and campaign functions.
- Drive capability-building and integrated marcom literacy across the division and organisation
- Oversee budget planning, resource management and agency/vendor coordination
- Drive adoption of communications governance standards and enterprise engagement frameworks across the organisation.
5. Enterprise Transformation & Strategic Enablement
- Support organisational transformation initiatives relating to communications governance and stakeholder engagement
- Work closely with the CMCO on communications operating model evolution and organisational capability development
- Support integration of AI-enabled communications tools and knowledge management approaches across the Secretariat
- Drive enterprise communications alignment and coordination across cross-functional initiatives
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 12 years of relevant experience across strategic communications, marketing communications, media relations and integrated campaigns, with leadership experience overseeing cross-functional teams.
- Strong strategic communications, stakeholder management and organisational integration capabilities.
- Proven experience managing integrated communications strategies and high-profile organisational or national-level initiatives.
- Strong operational leadership skills, including governance, prioritisation, resource planning and team management.
- Experience in media relations, corporate positioning, issues management and integrated campaign oversight.
- Excellent written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple concurrent workstreams and tight timelines.
- Experience in communications governance, organisational transformation and/or enterprise engagement initiatives will be advantageous.
