We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Solution Architect with a strong background in the financial industry to lead the design, evaluation, and delivery of technical solution architectures for enterprise-level projects. This role requires a blend of technical leadership, stakeholder management, and hands-on architecture expertise across systems integration, cloud, and banking technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the conceptualization and delivery of solution architectures aligned with project requirements and enterprise IT strategy.
- Participate in vendor, product, and technology evaluation and selection.
- Collaborate with enterprise architects, SMEs, and product vendors to ensure solutions align with IT standards and project objectives.
- Act as the bridge between enterprise architecture and technical delivery teams.
- Provide technical leadership in evaluating new technologies, frameworks, and platform capabilities.
- Mentor technical teams on architecture principles and design patterns.
- Develop, review, and maintain solution architecture documentation.
- Lead solution discussions with SMEs, domain architects, and vendors to finalize end-to-end architecture design.
- Validate solution design with business analysts and functional architects against business and non-functional requirements.
- Communicate and gain buy-in for solutions with IT management and enterprise boards.
- Research and innovate to stay current with industry and technology trends.
- Apply knowledge of financial industry risks, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
- 10+ years experience in the financial industry, including 7+ years in solution architecture roles.
- Strong expertise in system and project implementation lifecycle within banking.
- Proven experience in designing scalable, resilient, and secure architectures integrating channels, systems, middleware, and data warehouses.
- Experience with commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) product integration and cloud solutions.
- Knowledge of enterprise application integration, microservices architecture, and cloud computing.
- Exposure to system and network infrastructure is a plus.
- Experience with application modernization, migration strategies, and tools.
- Broad knowledge of banking technologies and trends.
- Familiar with DevSecOps, CI/CD, containerization, and programming (Java/.NET).
- Hands-on expertise with Oracle and MS-SQL databases.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure services (APIM, Function App, Logic Apps, Azure SQL DB).
- Familiarity with RedHat OpenShift and monitoring tools like IBM Instana.
- Strong background in middleware technologies (IBM MQ, IWA, MFT).
- Domain experience in at least one of the following:Payments
Customer onboarding & AML
Digital workflow
Data warehouse & analytics
- Certifications in TOGAF, Cloud Solution Architecture, or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
