Job Description

Our client, an established investment and lifestyle platform is seeking an experienced Director, Investments and Business Development to drive strategic growth initiatives across real estate, hospitality and adjacent commercial businesses.

This is a senior leadership opportunity for a commercially astute executive who enjoys identifying opportunities, evaluating investments and leading complex business initiatives from concept through execution. The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership to shape growth strategy, originate new opportunities and build long-term value across a diversified portfolio.

What you'll be doing

  • Identify and originate new investment, acquisition and business development opportunities.
  • Lead feasibility studies, commercial evaluations and financial modelling for potential projects.
  • Drive mergers, acquisitions, strategic partnerships and joint ventures from sourcing through negotiation and execution.
  • Evaluate market trends, competitive landscapes and emerging opportunities to support strategic decision-making.
  • Build strong relationships with investors, developers, government agencies, consultants and industry partners.
  • Develop innovative commercial strategies and new business models that create sustainable growth.
  • Support real estate development initiatives through planning, due diligence and project evaluation.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including finance, legal, design, construction and operations to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Present strategic recommendations and investment proposals to senior leadership.

What we're looking for

  • At least 15 years of leadership experience, ideally within real estate, investments, hospitality or related sectors.
  • Strong background in business development, investment analysis, strategy, asset management or real estate development.
  • Proven experience leading acquisitions, partnerships or major commercial transactions.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, including feasibility studies, valuation and financial modelling.
  • Established network within the real estate and investment ecosystem.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to identify opportunities and convert them into commercial outcomes.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or a related discipline. MBA is advantageous.
