Director in Manufacturing Engineering

The Manufacturing Engineering Director will support new product development, newproduct introduction and cost out designing for existing product lines through sound execution of engineering principles and processes. A high level of hands-on technical capability and sound engineering principles are required to be successful in this position. Leads a team of engineers and provide coaching and guidance. Grooms, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function in the long sustainable manner.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements and maintains methods, operation sequence and processes in the manufacture or fabrication of parts, components, subassemblies and final assemblies.

• Interfaces with design engineering in coordinating the release of new products.

• Estimates manufacturing cost, determines time standards, and makes recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines.

• Maintains records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Mechatronics / Mechanical/ Microelectronics / Chemical Process Technology

• At least 8 years relevant experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

• Proven experience leading and developing engineering teams.

• Display pro-activeness and initiative.

• Proactive, self-driven, and results-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.

• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across functions and lead teams toward common goal
