Job Purpose
The Director, End-to-End (E2E) Operations Transformation provides strategic leadership to redefine FairPrice Group's (FPG) operating model. This role is responsible for integrating fragmented processes, decision rights, and data management across multiple functions-including Products, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Store Operations-to achieve a step-change improvement in customer experience and cost management. As consumer trends evolve rapidly, this leader ensures FPG can respond in operations with speed and agility through a systematically prioritized cross-functional roadmap.
Responsibilities
1. Strategic Integrated Planning & S&OP
- Establish and lead the E2E Integrated Business Planning (IBP) or Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) framework.
- Translate high-level financial targets into clear sales targets and granular volume targets to inform operations capacity planning and execution.
- Standardize decision rights and data protocols to ensure a single version of truth across the value chain.
2. Cross-Functional Process Transformation
- Promotion Management: Redesign E2E promotion planning and execution to improve availability, reduce waste, and optimize marketing spend.
- Store-Friendly Flow: Drive shifts in ways of working across inventory management, warehouse, and store operations teams to adopt and sustain Store-Friendly Flow.
- Working Capital Improvement: Collaborate with Finance and the Inventory Management team to drive new ways of working to optimize working capital, especially inventory while balancing service levels.
3. Strategic Initiative Enablement (Win-in-Fresh & Omnichannel)
- Uplift operations capabilities across departments to support Win-in-Fresh and Omnichannel Integrated Warehouses.
- Design and operationalize new, agile supply chains, such as flow-through models for Ready-to-Eat products and Direct Sourcing initiatives.
- Create transformation playbooks to accelerate transformation across multiple functions and supply chains to meet rapidly evolving consumer needs.
4. Technology & Digital Innovation
- Proactively identify and integrate emerging technologies-including Agentic AI, Autonomous Vehicles, and Robotics-to automate decision-making and manual operations.
- Partner with Technology and Data teams to ensure data management practices support real-time process intelligence and predictive insights.
5. Change Management & Leadership
- Lead complex, multi-year transformation programs in partnership with Grocery Business Units, eCommerce, and Technology to deliver measurable business outcomes.
- Influence senior leadership and the Board to secure alignment for high-impact E2E initiatives.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and cross-functional collaboration to break down organizational silos.
6. Operations Leadership
- Lead part of the distribution center operations, including guiding the distribution center operational teams to meet service and budget requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement and build operational capabilities for reliable delivery.
- Build new supply chain solutions that cater to evolving customer requirements across B2B and B2C businesses.
REQUIREMENTS
Experience
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in Operations, Supply Chain, or Business Transformation, with at least 5 years in a senior executive leadership role.
- Proven track record of leading large-scale, E2E transformation programs in a complex retail or FMCG environment.
- Demonstrated experience in implementing S&OP/IBP frameworks and managing cross-functional dependencies.
- Extensive experience leveraging advanced technologies (AI, RPA, Analytics) to drive operational step-changes.
