About the Role
The Director, Global Supply Chain& Strategic Partnerships is a senior leadership role within Group Strategy. You will be accountable for setting the vision, strategy, and governance for EDMI's end-to-end global supply chain, owning how and who EDMI partners with, and defining the commercial frameworks that underpin our supply ecosystem.
Working closely with Product, Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Finance, and regional leadership teams, you will ensure supply chain decisions are aligned with EDMI's business objectives and long-term product roadmap.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and lead EDMI's global end-to-end supply chain strategy, ensuring resilience, scalability, cost efficiency, and alignment to business and product strategy.
- Establish global supply chain governance frameworks, decision rights, standards, and policies across regions and product lines.
- Develop and lead long-term strategic supplier and partner relationships to deliver innovation, value creation, and risk mitigation.
- Define and govern global sourcing strategies, supplier segmentation, and make-or-buy decisions.
- Own global commercial and contractual frameworks including pricing mechanisms, cost models, IP protection, and risk allocation.
- Establish and oversee global supplier performance frameworks covering cost, quality, delivery, risk, and sustainability.
- Partner closely with cross-functional and regional leaders to deliver integrated end-to-end outcomes.
- Champion OneEDMI values and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and quality-first thinking.
Skills & Experience
- Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or a related discipline postgraduate or executive education is an advantage.
- Extensive experience leading global supply chain, procurement, or commercial functions within technology, manufacturing, or regulated industries.
- Strong strategic and commercial acumen, with solid understanding of P&L, balance sheet, pricing models, Opex vs Capex, and Incoterms.
- Proven ability to operate at executive level and influence across functions and geographies.
- Experience managing complex global supplier ecosystems and long-term strategic partnerships.
- Strong understanding of supply risk management, governance, compliance, and continuity planning.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills within global, multicultural environments.
