Role Overview
A global data center developer is seeking a senior leader to codify and standardize the end‑to‑end data center development and operations lifecycle. This role focuses on turning complex new‑build delivery into a repeatable playbook - defining processes, workflows, governance, and systems from early planning through design, construction, commissioning, and steady‑state operations to support scalable growth.
Key Responsibilities
1) Day Zero - Planning & Strategy
- Standardize processes for site selection, feasibility, and early‑stage decision‑making
- Integrate commercial, regulatory, sustainability, and risk inputs into structured workflows
2) Day One - Design & Construction Enablement
- Establish design and construction governance, stage gates, and delivery workflows
- Ensure builds are optimized for operability, modularity, and long‑term scalability
3) Day Two - Operating Model & Readiness
- Define operational processes, KPIs, and governance for reliability, maintenance, and capacity
- Enable data‑driven and analytics‑led operations
4) Lifecycle Playbooks & Workflow Integration
- Map and streamline workflows across planning, procurement, build, commissioning, and handover
- Create repeatable playbooks and operating models for multi‑site deployment
5) Systems & Digital Enablement
- Define and implement lifecycle systems (project controls, asset/facilities, capacity, commissioning)
- Drive integration between design, build, and operations platforms
6) Governance & Scale
- Embed risk management, compliance, and change control into workflows
- Drive continuous improvement as the platform expands
Candidate Profile
- Strong background in data centers, mission‑critical infrastructure, or large‑scale platforms
- Proven experience building processes, workflows, and operating playbooks
- Exposure across planning, design, build, commissioning, and operations
- Systems‑oriented, structured, and comfortable operating across technical and executive stakeholders
- Successfully expanded new build data center to new region/territory
- Current/Prior working experience in a data center developer / operator (core requirement)
Working Model
- Preferred: Based in Dubai
- Alternatives: Remote or Thailand‑based
- Relocation support available
