Company Overview

We are the Singapore subsidiary of an establishedmultinational group with long-standing operations across Asia. The Singapore office plays a regional coordination role, working closely with headquarters and overseas affiliates to ensure operational alignment, governance, and execution consistency across markets.

Role and Responsibilities

The Director is a senior leadership role responsible foroverseeing regional operational strategy and execution from Singapore. The position serves as a key interface between regional operations and global headquarters, ensuring that group policies, operational standards and governance frameworks are effectively implemented at the local and regional levels.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for regional operations based in Singapore
  • Act as the primary liaison with global headquarters on operational, governance and reporting matters
  • Prepare and deliver monthly operational and management reports to headquarters in Japan
  • Oversee operational governance, internal controls, and compliance with group and regulatory requirements for our construction and engineering projects
  • Lead operational planning, budgeting, and performance management across functions
  • Drive process standardisation, risk management, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support senior management on regional expansion, restructuring, and change management initiatives
  • Lead, coach, and develop local management and operational teams of managers and engineers

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field
  • Minimum15-20 years of progressive experience in operations, general management, or regional leadership roles
  • Demonstrated experience working with multinational headquarters and preparing regular senior-level management reports
  • Strong background in corporate governance, internal controls, and operational risk management
  • Proven track record of leading senior teams and managing complex organisational structures
  • Ability to operate effectively in a matrix reporting environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills suitable for senior management reporting
