Temasek is advancing its Enterprise AI programme to strengthen decision-making, enhance productivity, scale institutional intelligence, and enable sustainable growth as an AI-driven organisation.

The Strategic Programme Office (SPO) serves as the central coordination and transformation office for Temasek's internal AI agenda. Working across business groups, technology, and corporate functions, the SPO helps drive enterprise-wide AI transformation and accelerates execution of high-impact initiatives with measurable institutional outcomes.

The SPO supports the firm's AI Council and senior management by maintaining an integrated view of Enterprise AI transformation portfolio, driving prioritisation and execution, coordinating cross-functional efforts, and ensuring risks and dependencies are proactively managed.

The Director will lead the SPO, and support the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and AI Council (senior oversight forum for AI strategies & initiatives) in advancing Temasek's Enterprise AI transformation agenda.

The role focuses on translating strategic priorities into actionable roadmaps, providing oversight of the Enterprise AI transformation portfolio, and supporting the delivery of high-impact AI initiatives across the organisation.

Success in this role requires strong enterprise transformation and programme management experience, strategic thinking, AI and technology fluency, and the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across a highly matrixed environment.

The Director reports to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and work closely with the AI Council, senior management, business groups, technology and corporate functions to support the successful execution of Temasek's Enterprise AI transformation agenda.

• Strategic Enterprise AI Initiatives

Identify, drive, and manage a number of high-impact, transformative needle-moving strategic AI initiatives that can deliver significant enterprise valuethrough improved portfolio and investment outcomes, enhanced insights and decision-making, and/or greater organisational productivity and effectiveness.

Validate and develop relevant business cases and implementation approaches for these strategic AI initiatives.  Work with the relevant business groups, technology and corporate functions to mobilise and execute these initiatives, and translate strategic intent into tangible enterprise outcomes.

• Enterprise AI Roadmap, Portfolio Oversight & Governance

Support the development and ongoing refinement of Temasek's Enterprise AI roadmap, working with COO and the relevant functions (eg. technology, digital, cybersecurity) to translate our institutional priorities into a coordinated portfolio of initiatives and capability-building efforts.

Serve as a central coordination function for the firm's portfolio of Enterprise AI projects, and support the COO by ensuring visibility and effective oversight of key initiatives, outcomes, milestones, dependencies, risks and resource requirements.

Support the relevant Enterprise AI governance, prioritisation and reporting processes for the AI Council and senior management.

• AI Enablement & Functional Transformation

Support the design and delivery of key enterprise-wide/ cross-functional AI enablers required for successful transformation.

  • AI-enabled operating model design and ways of working
  • AI-powered institutional relationship management systems

Partner the relevant business and functional teams (eg. Organisation & People, Legal & Regulatory) to coordinate efforts, share best practices and facilitate execution across the organisation.

• Enterprise Transformation & Programme Leadership
  15+ years of experience in strategic transformation and large-scale business/ technology programme management.
  
  Demonstrated track record of leading complex technology/ cross-functional initiatives, establishing governance and operating rhythms, managing senior stakeholders, and delivering measurable business outcomes in large organisations.
  
  
• Strategic Thinking & Execution
  Strong strategic, analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to translate enterprise priorities into practical roadmaps, programmes and execution plans.
  
  Comfortable navigating ambiguity, evaluating trade-offs and making recommendations to senior leaders on priorities and resource allocation.

• Business Orientation & Sector Knowledge
  Good understanding of the investment management /institutional investment industry – such as in the areas of investment processes, portfolio management, risk management and associated corporate functions.
  
  Ability to identify opportunities to improve organisational effectiveness, decision-making and productivity through AI and technology-enabled solutions.

• AI, Data & Technology Fluency
  Good understanding of AI, data and digital technologies.
  Ability to engage credibly with senior technology leaders, challenge assumptions, and shape AI-enabled transformation initiatives.

• Executive Influence & Organisational Change
  Ability to build alignment and influence across a highly matrixed organisation.
  
  Proven ability to drive organisational change, workforce adoption and cross-functional collaboration, with strong communication and executive engagement skills.

• Partner & Ecosystem Management
  Experience working with technology providers, consulting firms, delivery partners and specialist vendors to accelerate transformation delivery while maintaining strong governance and quality standards.
