Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support financial due diligence engagements, including the identification of key financial, operational, and commercial risks, deal breakers, and value drivers, in the context of clients investment strategies.
- Analyse detailed financial information, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flows, and operational metrics, and synthesise findings into clear, actionable insights to support discussions with target management and clients.
- Assess the quality and sustainability of reported earnings, net assets, working capital, and cash flows.
- Contribute to the preparation of clear, concise, and deal‑focused reports and presentations that highlight key findings, risks, and considerations impacting transaction valuation and structuring.
- Advise on how due diligence findings may be incorporated into transaction terms, valuation assumptions, and sale or purchase agreements, including identification of potential negotiating points.
- Participate in meetings and calls with target company management and client stakeholders, and serve as a key point of contact for execution‑related matters.
- Manage day‑to‑day client interactions, engagement status updates, scope changes, and billing matters, while supporting the maintenance and development of long‑term client relationships.
- Lead Quality of Earnings, profit and loss, and working capital analyses across multiple engagements.
- Review and critique project deliverables, data books, and reports prepared by team members to ensure technical quality and consistency.
- Manage multiple concurrent chargeable and non‑chargeable projects of varying size and complexity, including engagement budgeting and fee analysis.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to Associates, Senior Associates, and Managers, including participation in recruitment, training, and team development initiatives.
- Support internal processes such as conflict checks, engagement setup, and coordination with senior leadership.
- Assist senior leadership in business development, proposal preparation, and sales efforts.
- Proactively identify engagement and transaction risks and develop practical solutions to address issues efficiently and professionally.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
- Professional accounting qualification such as CPA or CA is strongly preferred.
- Extensive professional experience in financial accounting due diligence, transaction advisory, or related areas, with demonstrated exposure to medium to large‑scale transactions.
- Prior experience within a large professional services or audit environment is required.
- Proven track record of leading complex engagements, managing teams, and interacting confidently with senior client stakeholders.
- Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards, financial analysis, and transaction‑related financial issues.
- Proficiency in English as the primary working language. Additional language skills (e.g. Asian regional languages) would be an advantage where relevant to client engagement needs.
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills are required. Experience with data analytics and visualisation tools such as Alteryx, Power BI, or Tableau is advantageous.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under deadlines, and exercise sound professional judgement.
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively while also operating independently when required.
- Willingness and ability to travel within the region where business needs require, subject to practical considerations.
