Job Summary
Oversee the day-to-day operations and strategic management of ICT infrastructure components including servers, hosting, networking infrastructure, end-user computing, and data centre operations to ensure optimal service delivery and system availability.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage appointed Agency Facilities Management contractors and End-User Computing Device (EUCD) contractors to deliver infrastructure and computing services aligned with organizational goals
- Implement and oversee infrastructure projects to achieve service availability, continuity, and capacity targets supporting business objectives
- Ensure operational integrity by enforcing strict compliance with Government IM8 policies, CCS ICT policies, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Manage hardware, software, and subscription maintenance contracts to optimize infrastructure and data centre performance and cost-efficiency
- Plan and coordinate procurement and leasing activities for end-user computing devices to ensure timely deployment and user readiness
- Develop tender specifications, manage tendering processes, evaluate bids, and recommend contract awards to support IT infrastructure procurement
- Monitor and analyze infrastructure performance metrics and system logs to proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents and problems
- Lead remediation efforts to address audit findings and ensure timely resolution of security vulnerability scanning issues
- Plan, coordinate, and execute the annual Table-Top exercise with contractors to validate disaster recovery readiness and response capabilities
- Coordinate and oversee the disaster recovery plan and conduct annual disaster recovery testing for CCS ICT systems to ensure business continuity
Required competencies and certifications
- Diploma or Degree in IT, Facilities Management, or related field
- Experience in IT operations or data centre operations
- Certified ICT Project Management Programme (CITPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Certification in CompTIA Network (added advantage)
- Certification in AWS Cloud Practitioner (added advantage)
- Certification in CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor), CCAK (Certificate of Cloud Auditing Knowledge), or equivalent (added advantage)
- Certification in Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) (added advantage)
- Other relevant professional certifications (added advantage)
