Our Co-Development Business Unit is looking for a DevSecOps Engineer to join the team. This is a 2-year contract role.

What will you do

About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned DevOps Engineer with deep expertise in SHIP-HATS (Secure Hybrid Integration Pipeline - Hive Agile Testing Solutions). You will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines for government digital services, ensuring compliance with the Singapore Government's security and engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities

. As the go-to subject matter expert on SHIP-HATS, you will lead the end-to-end design and implementation of CI/CD pipelines on SHIP-HATS, working closely with development teams across multiple applications teams to onboard them onto the platform. This includes architecting scalable and secure pipeline workflows that meet IM8 compliance requirements and government security policies, and leWorkveraging tooling such as GitLab, Fortify, SonarQube, Nexus IQ, and associated components.

. You will drive DevSecOps best practices across teams by embedding automated security scanning, code quality checks, and vulnerability assessments into the software delivery lifecycle.

. Beyond pipeline management, you will provide technical guidance to agency stakeholders, translating complex infrastructure requirements into practical, maintainable solutions.

. You will also contribute to platform governance, documentation, and continuous improvement efforts, identifying opportunities to optimise build and deployment processes and reduce lead times for software delivery.

Requirements

• The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of hands-on DevOps experience, with a significant portion spent working with SHIP-HATS in a Singapore Government context.

• Proficiency in GitLab CI/CD, container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker), and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Ansible is required.

• Experience with the Government Commercial Cloud (GCC) environment, including Azure, is highly desirable, and familiarity with deployment practices for Dynamics 365, .NET applications, and ESRI ArcGIS web applications will be an added advantage.

• You should be comfortable working with cross-functional teams and able to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Familiarity with agile delivery methodologies and government ICT procurement processes will be an advantage.

• A relevant degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred, though equivalent practical experience will be considered.

• Beyond technical skills, we are looking for someone who is self-driven, adaptable, and able to work with a degree of autonomy in a fast-paced environment. The ability to navigate ambiguity and manage multiple stakeholder priorities will be key to success in this role.
