Key Responsibilities:
DevOps & Automation
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
- Develop and enhance infrastructure-as-code and automation frameworks to improve reliability and consistency.
- Optimise release management processes for faster, secure, and stable deployments.
Infrastructure & Operations Management
- Oversee development network infrastructure to ensure high availability, scalability, and performance.
- Monitor system and application health proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and failures.
- Manage day-to-day infrastructure operations and respond to internal user requests.
- Perform system administration across development environments.
Security, Governance & Compliance
- Implement and enforce security policies, operational controls, and DevSecOps best practices.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and maintain automated compliance monitoring.
- Develop and manage backup, restore, and disaster recovery strategies.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Partner with development and security teams to enhance deployment speed, system reliability, and security posture.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives across DevOps tools, processes, and workflows.
- Stay current with emerging DevOps technologies, methodologies, and evolving security threats.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with GitLab (administration and pipeline management).
- Minimum 3 years of Linux system administration experience.
- Strong understanding of DevOps/DevSecOps principles and the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- Experience with containerisation (Docker) and CI/CD pipeline implementation.
- Experience in infrastructure provisioning, server operations, patch management, and system monitoring.
- Solid knowledge of networking fundamentals, firewalls, IAM, and access control mechanisms.
- Proficiency in scripting/automation (Bash, Python, or PowerShell).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Self-driven, collaborative, and able to operate independently.
Good to Have
- Experience working with virtualised infrastructure.
- Familiarity with Proxmox or similar virtualisation platforms.
