Role Overview
We are looking for a DevOps Infrastructure Engineer with strong hands-on experience in OpenShift and Kubernetes to design, build, and manage scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructure environments. This role will work closely with development teams to support CI/CD pipelines, automate deployments, optimize platform performance, and ensure high availability of containerized applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage, configure, and automate OpenShift environments for scalable application deployment.
- Collaborate with development teams across different geographical locations to deploy and integrate applications in OpenShift.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability of the OpenShift platform.
- Optimize and scale OpenShift clusters to improve performance and efficiency.
- Provide technical support and guidance on OpenShift best practices and troubleshooting.
- Implement security measures to protect applications and infrastructure within the OpenShift environment.
- Automate routine infrastructure and configuration tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual errors.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for system configurations and operational processes.
- Work closely with customers on deployment requirements and support needs.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry best practices related to OpenShift, Kubernetes, and DevOps.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in DevOps / infrastructure engineering, with strong focus on OpenShift.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Strong expertise in managing OpenShift clusters and containerized applications.
- Experience with CI/CD tools and processes such as Jenkins, GitLab, and Nexus.
- Strong knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes, including areas such as multi-environment deployment, Docker image creation, and YAML configuration.
- Hands-on experience with Helm and POD deployment.
- Familiarity with Oracle and SQL.
- Practical experience in Java is preferred.
- Experience in performance testing setup using JMeter.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
- OpenShift certification or related certification.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Knowledge of Liquibase, Kubernetes networking, Routes / TLS SNI.
- Experience with Blue/Green deployment.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools.
- Good understanding of Agile and DevOps methodologies.
- Experience or knowledge in card payment processing.
- Familiarity with standard payments processing messaging concepts
