We are partnering with a leading technology organization to hire a DevOps Software Engineer. This role sits within a cross-functional team of developers, designers, and product owners, working on large-scale digital platforms with a focus on governance, risk, and compliance automation. You will play a critical role in building, maintaining, and optimizing infrastructure and deployment processes to ensure secure, reliable, and scalable delivery of applications.
What you will do
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to improve deployment velocity and reliability.
- Drive Infrastructure as Code (IaC) initiatives using tools such as Terraform for consistent and automated provisioning.
- Enhance observability and monitoring through metrics, logging, and distributed tracing (e.g., Kibana, OpenTelemetry).
- Ensure platform reliability by setting up monitoring/alerting, automated testing, and performance tuning.
- Integrate DevSecOps practices into CI/CD pipelines to strengthen security and compliance.
- Collaborate closely with software engineers on code quality, reviews, and testing.
- Partner with designers, product owners, and analysts to refine solutions and translate technical analysis into user stories.
- Contribute to Agile ceremonies, tech-sharing, and retrospectives.
What we are looking for
Must-have skills:
- Strong foundation in DevOps methodologies, Agile practices, and cloud technologies (AWS preferred).
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab CI/CD).
- Proficiency with Terraform or other IaC tools.
- Practical experience in containerization and orchestration (Docker, AWS ECS).
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, firewalls, VPNs).
- Familiarity with monitoring & observability tools (Elastic Stack, CloudWatch, OpenTelemetry).
- Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work independently, and a collaborative mindset.
Good-to-have skills:
- Knowledge of programming fundamentals and experience with enterprise full-stack applications.
- Exposure to modern web stacks (e.g., Django, React).
- Experience with Kubernetes and AWS native services.
- Familiarity with automated testing frameworks.
