Job Description

We are partnering with a leading technology organization to hire a DevOps Software Engineer. This role sits within a cross-functional team of developers, designers, and product owners, working on large-scale digital platforms with a focus on governance, risk, and compliance automation. You will play a critical role in building, maintaining, and optimizing infrastructure and deployment processes to ensure secure, reliable, and scalable delivery of applications.

What you will do

  • Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to improve deployment velocity and reliability.
  • Drive Infrastructure as Code (IaC) initiatives using tools such as Terraform for consistent and automated provisioning.
  • Enhance observability and monitoring through metrics, logging, and distributed tracing (e.g., Kibana, OpenTelemetry).
  • Ensure platform reliability by setting up monitoring/alerting, automated testing, and performance tuning.
  • Integrate DevSecOps practices into CI/CD pipelines to strengthen security and compliance.
  • Collaborate closely with software engineers on code quality, reviews, and testing.
  • Partner with designers, product owners, and analysts to refine solutions and translate technical analysis into user stories.
  • Contribute to Agile ceremonies, tech-sharing, and retrospectives.

What we are looking for

Must-have skills:

  • Strong foundation in DevOps methodologies, Agile practices, and cloud technologies (AWS preferred).
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab CI/CD).
  • Proficiency with Terraform or other IaC tools.
  • Practical experience in containerization and orchestration (Docker, AWS ECS).
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, firewalls, VPNs).
  • Familiarity with monitoring & observability tools (Elastic Stack, CloudWatch, OpenTelemetry).
  • Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work independently, and a collaborative mindset.

Good-to-have skills:

  • Knowledge of programming fundamentals and experience with enterprise full-stack applications.
  • Exposure to modern web stacks (e.g., Django, React).
  • Experience with Kubernetes and AWS native services.
  • Familiarity with automated testing frameworks.
