This DevOps Engineer role focuses heavily on software DevOps, automation, reliability, deployments and environment configuration using Ansible.
Candidates should have around 3 years of experience in CI/CD,scripting, and Linux systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitLab preferred).
- Automate system configuration and deployment using Ansible (must).
- Develop scripts and automation tools in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Manage and support Linux-based environments (RHEL, CentOS, or equivalent).
- Implement automation to improve system reliability, deployment speed, and operational efficiency.
- Support application teams with DevOps best practices and environment provisioning.
- Troubleshoot deployment, build, and environment-related issues.
- Optional: Assist with basic cloud automation (AWS/EKS/EC2) if required.
- Work closely within secure environments and follow government compliance standards.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of strong hands-on DevOps experience.
- Strong experience with Ansible(must-have).
- Practical knowledge in CI/CD tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, or similar.
- Strong understanding of Linux systems (RHEL preferred) & Windows environment.
- Proficient in Python, Bash, or PowerShellscripting.
- Experience troubleshooting deployment and environment issues.
- Familiar with DevOps best practices and automation concepts.
- Good communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
Good to Have (Optional)
- Exposure to AWS concepts (IAM, Lambda, CloudFormation, or Terraform.
- Control Tower / Landing Zone architecture
- Managing complex multi-account AWS pipelines
- Basic understanding of networking, AD, or PKI.
- Experience working in regulated, defence, or government environments.
- Cloud certification = bonus
