DevOps Engineer
We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join a leading Systems Integrator (SI) in Singapore. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in developing, deploying, and maintaining enterprise-grade software solutions, along with a strong passion for DevOps practices and technologies. As a DevOps Engineer, you will apply industry best practices to design, implement, and maintain tools and pipelines that support the full application lifecycle.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Support the Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery/Deployment (CD) lifecycle for enterprise-level software solutions.
- Design, set up, and maintain tools and scripts for software deployment across multiple environments.
- Enhance, optimize, and propose improvements to existing build and deployment pipelines.
- Collaborate closely with development teams to ensure application configuration requirements are met.
- Enforce application quality and security standards based on defined criteria.
- Monitor systems and applications as part of the DevOps feedback loop.
- Provide 24/7 on-call and production support when required.
Requirements
- Must be a Singaporean due to G50 security clearance requirements by the client.
- Diploma or Degree in Computing, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in software development and working with DevOps toolchains.
- Hands-on experience with CI tools such as Jenkins.
- Experience with DevOps and security tools including SonarQube, Nexus Repository, Aqua Security (Trivy).
- Experience with container and orchestration platforms such as Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
- Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies quickly.
- Solid understanding of software development principles.
- Good understanding of software testing methodologies and tools.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts, including load balancers, service mesh, and API gateways.
Good to Have
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Jaeger.
- Experience with CD tools such as Argo CD.
- Experience with messaging platforms such as Apache Kafka.
- Experience with automated testing and performance/load testing tools.
