Hands-on DevOps role supporting and scaling cloud infrastructure using Kubernetes, IaC, and CI/CD in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Support senior DevOps team members in operating and maintaining cloud infrastructure platforms.
- Monitor Kubernetes clusters to ensure performance, availability, and optimal resource utilisation.
- Assist in deploying, configuring, and managing Kubernetes resources.
- Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure and deployment issues in a timely manner.
- Monitor system performance and reliability, proactively identifying potential issues.
- Support Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using tools such as Terraform.
- Deploy and manage cloud solutions through CI/CD pipelines.
- Participate in on-call rotations and provide off-hours support when required.
- Document processes, procedures, and configurations to support knowledge sharing and maintainability.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher diploma in Information Technology or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in a DevOps engineering role, focusing on building, automating, and maintaining scalable and reliable systems.
- Familiarity with at least one programming or scripting language such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Working knowledge of infrastructure automation and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
- Hands-on experience with cloud service providers such as AWS.
- Experience administering CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and ArgoCD.
- Practical experience with containerisation technologies including Docker and Kubernetes (e.g. EKS).
- Solid understanding of Linux/Unix operating systems and command-line tools.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- DevOps-related professional certifications are an added advantage.
